Finishing touches for Final Cut Pro

Start from a ready-made look preset, or from the Default preset, which changes nothing until you adjust it. Raise the shadow floor for a milky shadow look, or add the Blockbuster look.

Reframe your shots with on-screen position, scale and rotation, plus framing guides and a warning layer that shows any gaps.

  • Tonal controls: levels, vibrancy, details, softening, saturation and hue for all, shadows, midtones or highlights.
  • Raise Shadow Floor: lift the darkest areas for a milky shadow look.
  • Color balance: separate shadows, midtones and highlights controls with CB Mix, plus a Blockbuster Look option.
  • Reframing: on-screen position, scale and rotation, with framing guides and a warning layer.
  • Look presets: start from a ready-made look, or save your own with Save Effects Preset.
How to use
  1. In the Effects browser sidebar, click My FCPeffects, then Finishing Plugin 2.
  2. Drag a preset onto your clip. Default makes no changes until you adjust it.
  3. In the Inspector, adjust the Levels, Vibrancy, Details and color controls.
  4. Use Position, Scale and Rotation to reframe. Turn on Framing Guides or Warning Layer to help.
  5. Turn the framing guides off again before you export.
