Why didn't the discount code work on my order?
The discount code must not have been properly applied to the order before it was submitted. Contact us and let us know which discount you were trying to use. We will issue a refund for the discount amount.
How do I download my previous purchases?
Click on the "Create Account" link in the top right corner of the screen. Create an account with the same email address that you used when you purchased from us. You will then be able to log in and download your previous purchases.
Please note, if you purchased from us using multiple email addresses, you will need to create multiple accounts, one for each email address.
Are your products compatible with the latest versions of Final Cut Pro X and macOS?
Yes, all of our products are compatible with the latest versions of FCP X and macOS.
Why does the Finishing Plugin cause my clips to turn red?
We fixed a bug after the release of Final Cut Pro 10.3 that resolved this issue. We sent the update to the email address you gave us when you purchased the plugin. If you didn't get that email, you can download the updated plugin by creating an account. Simply reinstall the plugin to update your copy.
Are your products compatible older versions of Final Cut Pro X and OS X?
All of our products (except a few that are specifically marked on their product pages) are compatible with FCP 10.0.6 and later.
Do I have to pay taxes?
If you are a consumer (as opposed to a business) and live in an area where we are required to collect digital goods VAT tax (the EU), yes you will have to pay the tax rate of your country.
If you are a tax exempt business customer and are charged tax during checkout, contact us within 24 hours of placing your order with the proper tax identification information and we will refund the amount you paid in tax.
How do I update the plugins that I purchased?
When an update is released, we will send you an email. Make sure you're subscribed to our newsletter in order to receive these emails. Also, be sure to add firstname.lastname@example.org to your email contact list to help these emails reach your inbox properly.
What's the difference between the HDR Plugin, the Finishing Plugin, and Sharpener?
These plugins are somewhat similar in what they can do, however each serves a distinct purpose. The HDR and Sharpener plugins are very specialized, whereas the Finishing Plugin is more versatile.
The HDR Plugin uses advanced keying techniques to increase the dynamic range of a shot, giving you a very high degree of control over the look of your clips.
Sharpener allows you to do detailed sharpening with a very high degree of precision.
The Finishing Plugin is capable of doing a lot of basic adjustments. Again, it's the most versatile of these three plugins, but offers only basic controls where the others are more specialized.
What's the difference between Screen Splitter 2 and Screen Splitter Transitions?
Both are split screen plugins at their core and can be used independently, so you don't need one in order to use the other.
Screen Splitter 2 is a collection of 123 non-animated, split screen effects that can be applied to your clips to create 1000's of different arrangements.
Screen Splitter Transitions is a collection of 100 animated, split screen transitions that can be applied between your clips.
Watch their videos closely and you should be able to see the difference, if not, contact us and we'd be happy to help clarify it for you.
What happened to the Fisheye Removal Plugin?
The Fisheye Removal Plugin was replaced by the Action Cam Essentials plugin in August 2015. Action Cam Essentials does everything that the Fisheye Removal Plugin could do plus a lot more. If you purchased the Fisheye Removal Plugin and would like to upgrade to Action Cam Essentials, contact us for a special discount, be sure to mention the name or email address that you used to purchase.
Do I need to have Apple Motion installed to use your effects?
No, you do not need Apple Motion to use any of our products.
Do your products work with Final Cut Pro 6, 7 & Express?
For the most part, no. Most of our products are only compatible with Final Cut Pro X. However, our Organic Light Leaks, Anamorphic Lens Flares, and Cinema Film Grain can be used with most video editing applications, including FCP 6, 7 & Express.

I purchased the first version Advanced Masking Tools, can I upgrade to version 2 without having to pay full price?
Yes, Advanced Masking Tools 2 is available at a discounted price for customers who purchased the first version of the plugin. We sent out an email about this following the release of version 2. If you purchased the first version and did not receive the email about upgrading, contact us and we'll send you the discount code as soon as possible.
Your website won't accept my credit card. What should I do?
Make sure that you have correctly entered the address associated with the card and the CVV code on the back. If either of these are incorrect, your card will be declined.
If you're certain that you have entered this information correctly, call the phone number on your card and ask why it's not being accepted.
Do you offer bundles?
Yes, by offering volume discounts you can save a LOT of money by purchasing multiple plugins at the same time.
How do I get the products after I purchase?
After checking out; you will receive an email with a link to download your purchase(s). The link can be used in the future in case something happens to your computer or you need to reinstall.
How do I install these plugins?
We've made the installation process extremely easy. Simply download the .zip file containing your purchase and run the installer (.app file). Most of the time, our products install and work fine without any problems. If you do happen to experience a problem, make sure you have the most recent version of Final Cut Pro X available from the Mac App Store installed. What's happened to the Poor Man's Lens Flare Plugin?
The plugin called "Poor Man's Lens Flares" has been replaced by the new and improved Lens Flare Plugin. If you purchased "Poor Man's Len Flares", you should have received an email notifying you about the upgrade process. If you did not receive the email and would like to upgrade your copy, contact us and we'll provide you with the upgrade discount code.
Can I install your products on more than one machine?
Yes, you can install each copy of our products that your purchase on up to 3 of your machines. You'll need to purchase additional copies for machines or users beyond this.
