What it does

Animated flying photo and clip plugin for Final Cut Pro

Pick a preset for the direction: up, down, left, right or a diagonal. Each comes with or without a background and with or without motion blur (the versions without render faster).

Set where the clip arrives from and departs to, its angles and timing, and add a border, a drop shadow and a flash at the start or end.

Stack clips to show several on screen at once, and choose from different backgrounds that you can blur, darken or tint.

  • Direction presets: up, down, left, right and diagonals.
  • Versions for every direction: with or without a background, and with or without motion blur.
  • Animation control: arrival and departure direction, movement, angles, delay and speed.
  • Border, shadow and flash: border width and color, a drop shadow, and flash in or out.
  • Backgrounds: choose a BG Type, then blur, darken, tint or reposition it.
  • Reframe inside the border: Clip Scale, Clip Position, Clip Rotation and crop.
How to use
  1. In the Effects browser sidebar, click My FCPeffects, then Flying Clip Plugin.
  2. If a clip is not the same shape as your project, make it a compound clip (Option-G) first.
  3. Drag a preset onto your clip, or select several clips and double-click a preset.
  4. Adjust Arrival Direction, Depart Direction and the timing controls in the Inspector.
  5. To show several clips at once, stack them, set Overall Scale and Shift X/Y, and set BG Opacity to 0 on all but the bottom clip.
