Overview

The Crawling Text Plugin is a Final Cut Pro title plugin for scrolling end credits and side-scrolling text, made quickly by pasting your text in from any source.

Scrolling Credits titles come center aligned or outside aligned, with separate left, middle and right columns. Set the scroll rate, fonts, colors, sizes, tracking and slant for each column, with an all caps option.

Side Scrolling Text crawls a line of text across the screen like a news ticker, on an optional bar you can position and color. There is a longer version and a custom speed version too.

Two bonus titles are included: Drifting Text and a Vintage Title Card.

How to use

In the Titles browser sidebar, click My FCPeffects, then Crawling Text Plugin (show the sidebar if it is hidden).
Drag a Scrolling Credits or Side Scrolling title into your timeline.
Paste your text into the Text Left, Text Middle and Text Right fields (or Text.Entry for side scrolling) in the Inspector.
Set the Scroll Rate, or make the title longer or shorter in the timeline.
Style each column with its font, color, size and tracking controls.
