Screen Splitter 2 is a Final Cut Pro plugin for split screen layouts. Stack your clips, drop a size preset on each one, and arrange them on screen.

Over 100 presets are named by height and width, as a percentage of the frame, so planning a grid is easy. Mix sizes for countless unique designs, in three styles: Black Border, No Border and White Border.

Fine-tune every window: set the border width and color, and scale, move or rotate the video inside it.

How to use

Stack the clips you want to use in your timeline.
In the Effects browser sidebar, click My FCPeffects, then Screen Splitter 2 (show the sidebar if it's hidden).
Drag a size preset onto each clip. To apply one preset to several clips, select them and double-click the preset.
Use Position to place each clip on screen.
Set the border, then use the Inside controls to reframe each video.

Yes. Put Screen Splitter 2 last in the Inspector's effect list so only the video inside each window moves.
