Mirror split effect for Final Cut Pro

Overview

Split View is a Final Cut Pro plugin that makes it easy to create intriguing mirrored scenes from ordinary pictures and video.

It mirrors one half of the frame onto the other: top, bottom, left or right. Choose a preset, then set the angle and position of the split line.

Move, scale and rotate the source picture and the whole effect, flip it, and add a line along the split in any width, color and opacity.

It is a striking look for music videos, openers and ads.

How to use

In the Effects browser sidebar, click My FCPeffects, then Split View (show the sidebar if it is hidden).
Drag a preset, like Horizontal Split Top Mirror, onto your clip or picture.
Set the Angle and Effect.Position of the split.
Use Source.Position to choose which part of the picture is mirrored.
Turn on the line if you want a visible split, and keyframe settings to animate.
