Glitch and VHS transitions for Final Cut Pro

Overview

The Defect Transition Bundle is a set of Final Cut Pro transitions that add malfunctions and glitches between your clips.

It includes five styles: Digital Artifacts, Color Sync Glitches, VHS Bad Tracking, Old TV Channel Change and a Loading/Buffering wheel.

Each transition can be customized in the Inspector, from the opacity of the artifacts and the amount of static to waviness, roll and color sync errors.

Use the blade tool (B) to split a clip, and you can add a glitch anywhere within a single shot.

Digital Artifacts: blocky artifacts with opacity, pixelation, hue, a quick flash of the incoming clip and waviness at the cut.

How to use

In the Transitions browser sidebar, click My FCPeffects, then Defect Transition Bundle (show the sidebar if it is hidden).
Drag a transition between two clips. To glitch in the middle of a shot, split it first with the blade tool (B).
Select the transition and park the playhead over it.
Adjust its controls in the Inspector, such as Static, Waviness, Roll or Artifact.Opacity.
For the Buffering transitions, keep the transition at the length in its name (1, 2 or 3 seconds).
