What it does

Time warp transitions for Final Cut Pro

Choose Warp In, Warp Out or Directional Warp and drag it between two clips. The shot warps through with a flash, motion blur and an RGB color blur.

Adjust how bright the flash is (or turn it off), how much motion blur and color blur you get, and how smoothly the animation starts and ends.

Make the transition wider to slow it down or narrower to speed it up.

  • Three warp styles: Warp In, Warp Out and Directional Warp.
  • Direction: set the direction of the Directional Warp.
  • Flash: Flash Brightness controls the flash, or set it to zero to turn it off.
  • Motion blur: Blur Amount sets how much blur happens during the warp.
  • Color blur: Color Blur Amount adds an RGB split.
  • Smooth or snappy: Animation Ease controls how the move starts and ends.
How to use
  1. In the Transitions browser sidebar, click My FCPeffects, then Warp Transitions (scroll down if needed).
  2. Drag a transition between two clips. If Final Cut Pro asks, click Create Transition.
  3. Drag the edges of the transition to make it longer (slower) or shorter (faster).
  4. Select it and adjust Flash Brightness, Blur Amount and Color Blur Amount in the Inspector.
  5. Set Animation Ease for a smoother or more abrupt move.
