How do I apply an effect in Final Cut Pro?
Open the Effects browser (Command-5), find the effect in the My FCPeffects section or search for it by name, and drag it onto a clip in the timeline. You can also select clips and double-click the effect. Adjust its settings in the Video inspector (Command-4).
Why is a plugin in the Titles browser instead of the Effects browser?
Some FCPeffects effects, such as Automatic Animations, are built as titles so that one copy placed above your clips affects everything beneath it. If you don't see a plugin in the Effects browser, look in the My FCPeffects section of the Titles browser.
Do the plugins work on Apple silicon Macs and the current Final Cut Pro?
Yes. They work with all versions of Final Cut Pro from the last 5+ years, including Final Cut Pro 11 and the current Final Cut Pro 12, and with the current versions of macOS, on Intel and Apple silicon Macs. Updates are included at no extra cost.
What if a plugin isn't right for me?
Every purchase is covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee. If you're not happy, contact us within 30 days for a full refund. There's no subscription: you pay once and keep the plugin.
Effects for fixes, looks and creative shots
Some effects fix footage: White Balance Plugin corrects color casts, Leveler straightens tilted horizons, Action Cam Essentials removes GoPro fisheye and Sharpener restores detail. Others create a look: Cinema Film Grain, VCR Plugin, Cartooner and Miniaturize.
For moves and animation, Keyframe Replacer adds bounce and ease presets without keyframes, and 3D Perspective Plugin 2 moves clips in 3D space. Learn the basics in our guide to keyframes in Final Cut Pro.
